1. General provisions
This Personal Data Processing Policy (hereinafter — the Policy) determines the procedure for processing personal data and the security measures applied by the operator of the SCI-SPACE platform (hereinafter — the Operator).
The Policy is published in accordance with Part 2 of Article 18.1 of Federal Law No. 152-FZ of 27.07.2006 "On Personal Data" (hereinafter — the Personal Data Law) and applies to all personal data that the Operator receives through the website https://sci-space.ru, its subdomains and related services.
The terms "personal data", "processing of personal data", "personal data subject", "operator" are used in the meanings defined by the Personal Data Law.

3. Principles of personal data processing
The Operator processes personal data based on the following principles:
- processing is carried out on a lawful and fair basis;
- processing is limited to predefined, specific and lawful purposes;
- the processing of data excessive for the stated purposes is not allowed;
- data is kept up to date; inaccurate data is clarified or deleted;
- data is stored no longer than required by the processing purposes or the law;
- processing is carried out in compliance with confidentiality and security requirements.
4. Legal grounds for processing
The Operator processes personal data on the basis of:
- the consent of the personal data subject to the processing of their personal data;
- the necessity of performing a contract to which the personal data subject is a party — in particular, the Terms of Use(opens in a new tab);
- the necessity of fulfilling obligations imposed on the Operator by legislation;
- the legitimate interests of the Operator in ensuring platform security, preventing abuse and protecting rights, provided that such interests do not infringe the rights of the subject.
5. Purposes, data categories and processing periods
The specific categories of data and processing periods depend on which platform features the subject uses. The main purposes are listed below.

The Operator does not process special categories of personal data (on racial or ethnic origin, political views, religious beliefs, health status, intimate life) or biometric personal data unless the user has provided them voluntarily in publicly available content. Please do not post such data on the platform.
The public profile and published materials are available to other users and on the Internet. Such distribution of data is carried out on the basis of a separate Consent to the Distribution of Personal Data(opens in a new tab), which may be withdrawn in the manner specified in that document.
6. Procedure and methods of processing
The Operator collects, records, systematizes, accumulates, stores, clarifies (updates, modifies), retrieves, uses, transfers (provides, grants access), blocks, deletes and destroys personal data.
Processing is carried out both with and without the use of automation tools. The Operator takes measures to ensure that the data is not made available to an unlimited circle of persons without legal grounds.
The Operator may engage third parties for processing (a hosting provider, an email service provider, a payment provider and other contractors) under confidentiality and processing entrustment conditions if this is necessary for the operation of the platform. Data is transferred to state bodies only in the cases and in the manner provided by law.
Databases containing personal data of citizens of the Russian Federation are located on the territory of the Russian Federation. If the Operator transfers data outside the Russian Federation, such transfer is carried out in accordance with the requirements of the Personal Data Law.
7. Cookies and local storage
The Operator uses cookies and browser local storage for authorization, saving interface settings (for example, the theme) and ensuring security. For details, see the Cookie Policy(opens in a new tab).
8. Rights of the personal data subject
The personal data subject has the right to:
- receive information about the processing of their personal data;
- demand clarification, blocking or destruction of incomplete, outdated, inaccurate data;
- withdraw consent to the processing of personal data;
- object to the processing of data if there are legal grounds for this;
- appeal the actions or inaction of the Operator to the authorized body for the protection of the rights of personal data subjects (Roskomnadzor) or to a court.
To exercise your rights, send a request to info@sci-space.ru. The request must allow the applicant to be identified. The Operator considers requests within the period established by law and may request documents confirming the applicant's identity if this is necessary to protect the rights of third parties.
9. Withdrawal of consent and deletion of data
Consent to the processing of personal data may be withdrawn at any time by sending a written request to the Operator's email. After withdrawal of consent, the Operator stops processing and deletes the data within a period not exceeding 30 days, unless otherwise provided by law and unless the Operator has other legal grounds for processing.
Withdrawal of consent may make it impossible to use certain platform features or the entire account. Data that the Operator is obliged to store by law (for example, payment information) is kept for the established period.
10. Personal data protection measures
The Operator takes legal, organizational and technical measures to protect personal data from unlawful or accidental access, destruction, modification, blocking, copying, provision and distribution:
- restricting employee and contractor access to data on a need-to-know basis;
- using secure data transmission channels and password hashing;
- data backup and integrity control;
- recording security events and responding to incidents;
- regular review of access rights and system updates.
11. Amendments to the Policy
The Operator may amend the Policy. A new version takes effect from the moment of publication on this page unless otherwise specified in it. If the purposes or the composition of the processed data change significantly, the Operator will request new consent if required by law.
The current version and effective date are indicated at the beginning of the page. If you continue to use the platform after a new version is published, this means that you have read it.
