1. Data subject and Operator
I, a user of the SCI-SPACE platform, freely, of my own will and in my own interest, give consent to the operator SCI-SPACE (hereinafter — the Operator) to process my personal data on the terms set out below.
This Consent is specific, informed and conscious. It is executed separately from the Terms of Use and other documents.
2. Purposes of processing
- creation, confirmation and maintenance of an account, sign-in to the platform;
- filling in and displaying the user profile to the extent chosen by the user;
- participation in events, submitting applications, publishing materials, reviewing, and interaction with organizers and other users;
- payment for paid services and generation of documents, where applicable;
- sending service messages related to the operation of the account and events;
- processing support requests;
- ensuring platform security, preventing abuse and protecting rights;
- collecting anonymized statistics on platform usage.
3. Scope of personal data
This consent covers the following categories of data that I provide:
- surname, first name, patronymic;
- email address;
- phone number, date of birth, gender, country and city — if I specify them in the profile;
- information about education, organization, position, academic degree, academic title, professional interests and biography;
- profile photo and other images that I upload;
- information about applications, articles, abstracts, publications, comments, messages, reviews and attached files;
- payment information: amount, status, payment identifier at the payment provider (without full bank card details);
- technical data: IP address, User-Agent, date and time of access, session identifiers, action logs;
- information about the fact and time of giving consents and withdrawing consent.
I understand that I am not obliged to provide optional information (for example, phone number, date of birth, photo) and that the absence of such data may limit certain profile features.
4. Operations on data
The Operator may perform the following operations on my personal data: collection, recording, systematization, accumulation, storage, clarification (updating, amendment), retrieval, use, transfer (provision, access) to contractors, blocking, deletion and destruction. Processing may be carried out by automated and non-automated means.
Transfer of data to third parties is allowed to the extent necessary for the operation of the platform: to the hosting provider, the email service provider, the payment provider, as well as to state authorities — in cases provided by law. The Operator enters into confidentiality and processing entrustment agreements with contractors.
5. Legal grounds
- this Consent;
- The Terms of Use(opens in a new tab) and other agreements to which I am a party;
- requirements of the legislation of the Russian Federation;
- the legitimate interests of the Operator in ensuring platform security.
6. Term and withdrawal of consent
The consent is valid until the processing purposes are achieved, the account is deleted, or the consent is withdrawn — whichever comes first. For data that the Operator is required by law to store (for example, payment information), the storage period established by law applies.
I may withdraw my consent at any time by sending a request to info@sci-space.ru. The Operator stops processing and deletes the data within no more than 30 days, unless otherwise provided by law and unless other lawful grounds for processing exist. Withdrawal of consent may make it impossible to use the platform.
Withdrawal of consent to the processing of personal data does not revoke consent to the distribution of data if it was given separately; to withdraw it, the procedure specified in the Consent to Distribution(opens in a new tab) is used.
7. Confirmations
- I am at least 14 years old;
- I have read the Privacy Policy(opens in a new tab);
- I understand that part of my profile data and my publications may be visible to other users and on the Internet, and I do not enter data I do not want to disclose;
- I understand that consent to marketing messages is not mandatory and is given separately;
- the data I provide is accurate.
